Gods of Aorta
A downloadable role-playing game
Players are Gods in this role-playing map-drawing worldbuilding game! By influencing and changing a hand drawn map, the players attempt to further their goals based on what they are the God of.
While there aren't winners, one God's goal may be be in opposition to another's - the players take turns suggesting a change to the world then roll to see how effective it was, the GM then physically draws the changes onto the map.
But watch out! When a God rolls particularly high or really low, their aspect is altered...
3+ people are needed - one to be the GM then at least 2 to be the Gods, as there aren't winners its easy for people to drop in and out throughout a game.
Each player will need a D20 and the GM will need either a dry erase board or a digital drawing program (template included with download).
The game has no specific end, when you feel the story of your world has been told you are done. This game can be played as silly or seriously as you want - if you create an interesting world together and have fun, you have succeeded!
Example of where a Gods of Aorta game ended, with giant serpents that the God of Chaos had made, and a field of bricks from when the God of Peace *really* failed at building a wall
Example of where a Gods of Aorta game ended, with massive bramble plants and a summoned cat from the God of Nature, as well as a bustling city with no concept of a monarchy. not anymore.

Hey! Late comment, but me and a group of online buddies played this with text chat and bad Google photos markup :3 I'm happy to say that they all found it interesting and fun and enjoyed it! We'll be having another session to continue filling out the map! There were some crazy drama it was great, haha.
Our first player was pretty unlucky. In the end, their full list of titles were the The Teacher of Life, god of destruction and firefighting, Keeper of the Locust, Archmage of Enhancement, Appreciator of Scarcity
Our second main player ended up as The Honorbound, the god of nature and hate
And our third main player finished the session as the Shield Shatterer, god of chaos and beach parties, and the unkempt Sculptor
We had a blast!
Played this with 5 friends and a dry-erase game mat and we had a ton of fun. It took very little time to set up, and was enjoyable for everyone, from the person who had never played a TTRPG to those who have played them for over a decade. One minor tweak I made as the GM was to have a card with each player's aspect on it, and shuffle that to determine turn order each round, rather than going around the table in the same order each time.
Ayy! I’m glad you all had fun! The turn order idea sounds interesting, might give that a go next time I play.
